How Can I Know I Am a Christian?

Acknowledge to God that you are a sinner separated from God by your sin.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”Romans 3:23

Recognize that there is a penalty for your sin.
“For the wages of sin is death.”Romans 6:23

Understand that God's grace reaches out to you before you ever seek Him.
“Not by works of righteousness which we have done but according to his mercy he saved us.”Titus 3:5

Believe that Jesus Christ has already paid the penalty for your sin.
“For God demonstrates his own love toward us, in that, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”Romans 5:8

Trust Christ and Christ alone for your salvation.
“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”Romans 10:9
Our eternal destiny rests not on the good that we do, but on faith in Christ. God’s grace goes before us, meets us where we are, and invites us into a lifetime of growing in His likeness.
